Giant Eagle loves to overprice their stuff (around my area at least), but they’re shockingly not /quite/ as bad as another local chain. It’s like they both switch off seeing who can charge the most ridiculous amount!
Can’t blame the retailer for this one, as Jeni’s is expensive everywhere. Shaw’s sells their pints for $9.99.
You’re totally right about Giant. I live in MD and Giant is more expensive than most stores around me. I used to think they were cheaper, but I shop at Wegmans now and their prices are actually lower and they have much better quality produce and meat.
That may be the case with the store/chain in general; however, Jeni’s is a more premium ice cream brand & in store their pints are usually around $7.00-$9.00 a pint. I find that most ice cream brands anymore charge obscene prices for subpar quality.
