NEWS: Ritz Crackerfuls To Be Filled With Peanut Butter and/or Chocolate

IMG_1408

We’ve reviewed several Ritz Crackerfuls varieties over the past few years and they’ve all been filled with cheese. But Nabisco is stuffing their oversized Ritz crackers with something sweet instead of savory.

Ritz Crackerfuls will come in three new varieties: Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter & Chocolate, and Ritz Crackerfuls Big Stuff Extreme Peanut Butter, which has 75 percent more filling than the regular Peanut Butter Ritz Crackerfuls. Ooooh, 75 percent more peanut butter is sooooo “extreme.”

A pack of Peanut Butter Ritz Crackerfuls has 140 calories, 6 grams of fat, 1.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat*, 190 milligrams of sodium, 3 grams of fiber, 3 grams of sugar, and 3 grams of protein. NEWS: Canada Now Enjoying Kellogg’s Cinnamon Corn Pops

It’s rare for Kellogg’s to release a different variety of their Corn Pops.

The last and only time they did it was in 2007 when they introduced Chocolate Peanut Butter Pops, which disappeared from store shelves, not because they were popular, but because they were discontinued. Kellogg’s has recently released a new Corn Pops flavor, but it’s only available in Canada.

According to this post over at the Cereal Bits forum, Kellogg’s Cinnamon Pops has started appearing on stores shelves. You can read more about the cereal on Kellogg’s Canadian website.

To be honest, I’m not a fan of Corn Pops. They don’t hurt my teeth the way I like them to be hurt like with other sugary cereals. I also tried Chocolate Peanut Butter Pops and I didn’t care for it either, so I’m not at all eager to see these Cinnamon Pops cross the border into the United States.

A cup of Kellogg’s Cinnamon Pops has 120 calories, 0 grams of fat, 0 milligrams of cholesterol, 180 milligrams of sodium, 20 milligrams of potassium, 29 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 12 grams of sugar, and 1 grams of protein.

If any of our Canadian readers have given it a try, let us know what you thought of it in the comments below.

NEWS: Capri Sun Super V Will Trick Kids Into Sucking Vegetables Through A Straw

Capri Sun Super V On Shelf

Is the new Capri Sun Super V Fruit & Vegetable Juice Drink the latest way for parents to trick their kids into getting some vegetables in their diet?

A juice pouch with a 3/4 serving of fruit and 1/4 serving of vegetables? That doesn’t sound very efficient.

When I have kids and need to encourage them to eat their vegetables, I’m just going to tell them, “Look, son/daughter. It’s carrots and cucumbers. There are worse vegetables your mom and I could’ve given you, like brussels sprouts, beets, turnips, cauliflower, and radishes. We’ll save those for when you’re naughty, but you were good today so you get the good vegetables. However, if you don’t eat your carrots and cucumbers right now, I’m going to drive to the store to buy some beets and radishes, cut them up, and put them on your plate with the carrots and cucumbers. And you’re going to have to eat all of them.”

Man, I’m going to be an awesome parent. Sure, they’ll probably end up in therapy, but at least they’ll be eating their vegetables. Someone should award me with a “World’s Greatest Dad” mug right now.

The Capri Sun Super V juice drinks are 66 percent juice and come in three flavors: Apple, Berry, and Fruit Punch. The vegetables come in the form of sweet potato and carrot juice concentrates. I didn’t know one could juice a sweet potato. Maybe I should’ve paid closer attention to Jack LaLanne’s Juice Tiger informercials, instead of using them to help me fall asleep.

One Capri Sun Super V pouch has 70 calories, 0 grams of fat, 20 milligrams of sodium, 18 grams of carbohydrates, 3 grams of fiber, 14 grams of sugar, 0 grams of protein, 10% vitamin C, and 10% vitamin E.
