SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 2/6/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Limited Edition Frosted Wild Berry Bloom Pop-Tarts

The Limited Edition Frosted Wild Berry Bloom Pop-Tarts are so pretty and pastel that I want to hide them in a yard and have children look for them. (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

Honey Maid Strawberry Yogurt Creme Grahamfuls

If you’re a fan of strawberry banana, you could wait for Honey Maid to come out with a strawberry banana creme Grahamfuls. Or you could take these Strawberry Yogurt Creme Grahamfuls and combine them with Banana Vanilla Creme Grahamfuls. (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

Starburst Very Berry

I love berries, so I hope these Very Berry Starburst are berry good. Oh, did you see what I did there? I know, that was unberryble. Oh, I did it again. This paragraph probably makes you want to berry me alive. I’m berry sorry. (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

Claussen Hot & Spicy Pickle Spears

Usually, I don’t cover products that have been available for about a year, but I’m a sucker for hot and spicy products. And pickles. And saying the name “Claussen” over and over. And saying the word “pickles” over and over. Here’s a review of the pickles.. (Spotted by Dusty at Walmart.)

Blue Diamond Coffee Almonds

The internet tells me eating one ounce of these Blue Diamond Coffee Almonds will give me the same amount of caffeine in two ounces of coffee. The internet also tells me almonds are a great source of vitamin E. Unfortunately, the internet can’t tell me if these Coffee Almonds are any good. (Spotted by Jamie at Target.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 2/4/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Limited Edition Chocolatey Chocolate Chip Eggo Wafflers

“No syrup needed!” I am not going to let a frozen food box tell me when syrup is needed or not needed. I am an adult. I am old enough to make my own choices. I am going to smother these Limited Edition Chocolatey Chocolate Chip Eggo Wafflers with Hershey’s syrup. I am also going to go into a sugar coma after, but again, I am an adult who made that horrible choice. (Spotted by Tracy at Target.)

Limited Edition Kellogg's Apple Jacks with Marshmallows

If marshmallows are what it take to make a Kellogg’s “limited edition” cereal, then I look forward to Limited Edition Cocoa Puffs with Marshmallows, Limited Edition Frosted Flakes with Marshmallows, Limited Edition Corn Pops with Marshmallows, and Product 19 with Marshmallows. (Spotted by Cortney at Shoppers Food Warehouse.)

Special K Berry Streusel Pastry Crisps

When Special K Pastry Crisps started popping up on shelves, we reviewed a few of the original flavors. Pastry Crisps can’t be put in a toaster, but I think of them as adult Pop-Tarts. Also, you’ll have to eat four of them to get roughly the same amount of calories, fat, and sugar as one Pop-Tart. (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

Screamin' Green Apple Yoplait GoGurt Twisted

I’m not so sure what’s so screamin’ about Yoplait’s Go-Gurt Twisted Screamin’ Green Apple. Does the screaming happen after I tell children they ate something healthy or after I tell them they’re eating green alien blood and red alien intestine? I’m going to be an awesome parent someday! (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 1/30/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Chex Mix Muddy Buddies Snickerdoodle

Why would someone want a snack that tastes like snickerdoodles? If one wants a snack that tastes like the cookie, wouldn’t real snickerdoodle cookies be that snack? (Spotted by Stephanie at Sheetz.)

Planters New Peanuts

There are two new Planters dry roasted peanut flavors. Thank goodness. If I had to eat one more honey roasted or Five Alarm Chili peanut, I was gonna choke a legume. (Spotted by @jgotelli at Target.)

Campbell's Fancy 100% Natural Soups

“New and Delicious”? With flavors like Butternut Squash Bisque and Creamy Gouda Bisque, shouldn’t it say, “New, Delicious, Fancy Nancy, and Makes Our Condensed Soup Look Less Appetizing”? (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Quaker BIG Chewy Granola Bar

I wanted to put a risqué paragraph here. Actually, I did type one and it was super filthy…and lengthy. 50 Shades of Grey-lenghty, but with even poorer writing. (Spotted by Charmi at Target.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 1/28/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Golden Grain Hidden Veggie Spaghetti

Golden Grain is trying to be as sneaky as the cafeteria ladies who snuck a serving of vegetables into my school lunches or as sneaky as the swap meet vendor who says the $100 Coach bag they’re selling is authentic. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Keebler Pretzel BItes

I wish these Keebler Filled Pretzel Bites were filled with elf magic..or gold. Because with the elf magic I would’ve made gold. (Spotted by Stephen at Giant.)

Snyder's of Hanover Flavor Doubles

I don’t have a marketing degree, but I think Flavor Doubles is a boring name. Perhaps Snyder’s of Hanover should’ve named it Awesome Two Tastes Happy Happy Mouth Time. Once again, I do not have a marketing degree. (Spotted by Leah at Wegmans.)

Planters NUTrition Sustaining Energy Mix

Which is more effective? Mr. Peanut pushing Planters NUTrition Sustaining Energy Mix or a douchebag promoting 5 Hour Energy. Sorry, Mr. Peanut, I think the douchebag wins because to defeat the douchebag, I must be the douchbag. (Spotted by Charmi at Target.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 1/25/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Ha?agen-Dazs Bourbon Pecan Praline

I bet Häagen-Dazs’ Bourbon Pecan Praline ice cream will make nut-loving alcoholics happy. What? There isn’t any alcohol in it. Well then, it’ll make nut-loving alcoholics angry. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

7-Up Ten

A&W Ten Root Beer

Sunkist Ten

If Dr Pepper Ten is not for women, then for the Dr Pepper Snapple Group’s sake 7Up Ten, A&W Ten, and Sunkist Ten better all be for women. Because I’m sure Dr Pepper Snapple Group doesn’t want to sleep on the couch again. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Orville Redenbacher's Pop Crunch

If you ever play Morbid Trivial Pursuit (all the wedges are black), knowing Orville Redenbacher died while in a Jacuzzi might be helpful. You’re welcome. Besides the two flavors shown above, Orville Redenbacher’s Pop Crunch comes in two other flavors — Cheddar & Caramel Mix and Parmesan Herb Mix. (Spotted by Jamie at Target.)

Pepperidge Farm Dessert Shop Carrot Cake

Have you ever thought to yourself while eating carrot cake, “Hey, someone should make cookies that taste like carrot cake.” If so, Pepperidge Farm might have been reading your brain’s ridges. Junk Food Guy has a review. (Spotted by Jaclyn at Target.)
