FAST FOOD NEWS: Pizza Hut’s P’ZONE Returns

The P’ZONE is back! The P’ZONE is back! The product that’s like an upscale Hot Pocket that spends a lot of time at Gold’s Gym is back!
Can you believe it’s been 17 years since the debut of the P’ZONE? I don’t know whether I should cry or use the napkin I was going to use to wipe away my tears to soak up some of the grease that’ll ooze out of the P’ZONE I’m going to eat.
The menu item is basically the fast food chain’s version of a calzone. It features pizza toppings and cheese sealed in a toasted parmesan pizza crust, and comes with a side of marinara for dipping. It’s available in three varieties — Pepperoni, Meaty, and Supremo.

The Pepperoni one has just pepperoni and cheese. It has 1030 calories, 40 grams of fat, 16 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of trans fat, 85 milligrams of cholesterol, 1850 milligrams of sodium, 128 grams of carbohydrates, 9 grams of fiber, 7 grams of sugar, and 40 grams of protein.
The Meaty P’ZONE is stuffed with pepperoni, ham, beef, pork, Italian sausage, and cheese. It has 1200 calories, 55 grams of fat, 21 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of trans fat, 115 milligrams of cholesterol, 2330 milligrams of sodium, 129 grams of carbohydrates, 9 grams of fiber, 7 grams of sugar, and 47 grams of protein.
Finally, the Supremo has Italian sausage, green peppers, red onions, and cheese. It has 1050 calories, 41 grams of fat, 16 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of trans fat, 80 milligrams of cholesterol, 1850 milligrams of sodium, 130 grams of carbohydrates, 9 grams of fiber, 8 grams of sugar, and 40 grams of protein.

Impulsive Buy reader Eden W sent in these photos from a Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine at a Burger King in Washington. One of the photos show three Surge flavors — Cherry Rush, Vanilla Vibe, and Grape Glory. The other photos show screens for the recently introduced Sprite Lymonade and Sprite Zero Lymonade in raspberry, peach, and strawberry flavors.
It’s unclear if all of them are Burger King exclusives, but if you’ve seen them elsewhere, let us know in the comments.
And, of course, if you’ve tried any of them, let us know your thoughts in the comments.

FAST FOOD NEWS: Dairy Queen Dreamsicle Dipped Cone

Some of Dairy Queen’s oldest and most recognizable treats are its soft serve cones with the signature curl at the top. The standard varieties are the classic cone and the chocolate dipped cone. A quick Google searching bring up other dipped cones, like cherry and caramel.
According to this photo Impulsive Buy reader Mary sent that was taken at her local DQ as they were unpacking new signage, the dessert chain is set to launch another dipped cone flavor — Dreamsicle.
It appears to be rolling out nationwide since it’s mentioned as an option in DQ’s press release for its Free Cone Day, which is on Wednesday, March 20.
If you’ve tried it or seen it, let us know in the comments.
