NEWS: If You Love Meat, Cheese, and Bread, You Might Enjoy Taco Bell’s Triple Steak Stack

Update: Click here to read our Taco Bell Triple Steak Stack review

The “triple” in Taco Bell’s Triple Steak Stack could not only mean the triple serving of steak it has, but also the total number of ingredients it has. The latest item from Taco Bell has a hefty serving of marinated steak, a Monterey Jack/Cheddar/Mozzarella cheese blend, and a nine-inch bolillo flatbread. That’s it.

Wow. Just meat, cheese, and bread. I don’t know about you, but that sounds disappointing. Usually, if I want meat, cheese, and bread that’ll disappointment, I just go to Subway.

The Taco Bell Triple Steak Stack is expected to be available nationwide soon, but our friends over at Grub Grade already have a review of it.

The Triple Steak Stack weighs in at 303 grams and its nutritional facts are as follows: 690 calories, 120 calories from fat, 20 grams of fat, 13 grams of saturated fat, 0.5 grams of trans fat, 90 milligrams of cholesterol, 1,950 milligrams of sodium, 59 grams of carbohydrates, 5 grams of fiber, 12 grams of sugar, and 46 grams of protein.

NEWS: Jamba Juice Apple Cinnamon Cheer May Give You Holiday Joy, But Not Like A New iPad Can

Update: Click here to read our Jamba Juice Apple Cinnamon Cheer review

Beginning November 15, Jamba Juice will be offering a new holiday smoothie for a limited time — Apple Cinnamon Cheer.

If there’s one flavor Jamba Juice seems to really like it’s apple cinnamon. Other apple cinnamon products on Jamba’s menu include Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal, Apple Cinnamon Pretzel, and Awesome Apple Cinnamon Whirl’ns frozen yogurt.

According to the Jamba Juice press release:

The new Apple Cinnamon Cheer smoothie continues Jamba’s tradition of bringing you healthy holiday cheer in a cup. This limited time creamy treat is delicious and provides a healthy alternative to the common indulgences this time of year with two servings of fruit (in an original size), a good source of vitamin C, 0g trans fat and no artificial preservatives.

I’m pretty sure the amount of holiday cheer the Apple Cinnamon Cheer smoothie brings doesn’t come close to the cheer a 50″ HDTV or a new puppy with a big red bow around its neck brings. I’ve never seen anyone smile while hugging a smoothie, but I have seen people smile while hugging a flat-screen TV.

On the Dunkin’ Donuts website, this is how they describe their new Mint Hot Chocolate:

Warm up and cool down with our new Mint Hot Chocolate. Enjoy the smooth taste of hot chocolate combined with a minty flavor for a unique, invigorating sensation. It pairs well with that momint in your day when you just want to, Ahh.

Momint? That word has made me angry and now I would like to summon the soul of Noah Webster and have him temporarily take over someone’s body so that he can punch in the face the marketing person who came up that verbal atrocity.

The beverage that some Americans will run on is made using a peppermint hot chocolate mix, and it’s available in sizes from small to extra large. Drink What already has a review of it.

A small serving has 220 calories, 7 grams of fat, 6 grams of saturated fat, 270 milligrams of sodium, 36 grams of carbohydrates, and 27 grams of sugar. On the other side of the size spectrum, an extra large has 520 calories, 16 grams of fat, 15 grams of saturated fat, 650 milligrams of sodium, 87 grams of carbohydrates, and 65 grams of sugar.

Since I have the mind of a 12-year-old boy, it’s hard to not giggle at Dunkin’ Donuts’ new Smokehouse Sausage Breakfast sandwich because it has the words “smoke” and “sausage” in its name. It’s like when I see Mounds candy bars or Poppycock at the store.

Dunkin’ Donuts’ latest breakfast sandwich is made using a split Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage link, a disc of scrambled eggs, and a slice of American cheese in between an English muffin.

The Dunkin’ Donuts Smokehouse Sausage Breakfast Sandwich has 550 calories, 320 calories from fat, 36 grams of fat, 13 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 245 milligrams of cholesterol, 1,510 milligrams of sodium, 36 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 4 grams of sugar, and 21 grams of protein.

NEWS: KFC Tries To Prove Bacon Makes Everything Better With Their Cheesy Bacon Bowl

KFC Cheesy Bacon Bowl Sign

Update: Click here to read our KFC Cheesy Bacon Bowl review

The KFC Famous Bowl is one of the unhealthiest items to eat on KFC’s menu, but I have to admit the combination of mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, popcorn chicken, and shredded cheese is also one of the tastiest items to eat on KFC’s menu.

I thought there was no way to improve it, but I forgot about the power of bacon and its claim that it makes everything better. Although, while bacon has made burgers and asparagus better, it’s also been shown it doesn’t make everything better, like soda.

Well, KFC is taking that power and adding it to their KFC Famous Bowl to create the Cheesy Bacon Bowl. All the goodness of a KFC Famous Bowl, sprinkled with chopped bacon, and all for just $3.99 at participating restaurants.

If you try it, let us know what you think of it in the comments below.
