Pizza Hut’s new Overstuffed Pizza looks like The Hut stuck two P’Zones together, but it also looks like the alien ship in the film Independence Day. Each Overstuffed Pizza contains toppings, sauce, and cheese between two crusts, and provides six slices. The latest from Pizza Hut comes in two varieties — Italian Meat Trio and Supremo.

To be honest, I’m extremely disappointed this is the latest and greatest from Pizza Hut here in the US. While Canada got the frickin’ Pizza Hut Hot Dog Stuffed Pizza, which was originally introduced in the UK, we got what is basically a pizza on top of another pizza.

Nutrition information for the Overstuffed Pizza is not available on the Pizza Hut website yet, but I bet with those two layers of crust it has a lot of carbs.

Why is Taco Bell’s new Cookie Sandwich not a cookie taco?

Or instead of a cookie taco, why couldn’t Taco Bell just make up a Mexican sounding name like they’ve done with past menu items? Because Cookie Sandwich sounds out of place among the other two items on Taco Bell’s dessert menu — Churros and a Caramel Apple Empanada.

Taco Bell’s Cookie Sandwich is made up of two triangle-shaped chocolate chip cookies with vanilla cream filling in between. The dessert reminds me of the discontinued Chips Ahoy Cremewiches, which I really miss.

The Taco Bell Cookie Sandwich has 390 calories, 17 grams of fat, 8 grams of saturated fat, 15 milligrams of cholesterol, 130 milligrams of sodium, 56 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 44 grams of sugar, 3 grams of protein.

The Burger King Whopper has had many costume changes. It’s like the Madonna of the fast food world. The list of Whopper variations gets longer every year. There’s been the California Whopper, Angry Whopper, Windows 7 Whopper, Western Whopper, Texican Whopper, Whiplash Whopper, and many more.

This week, the list got a little longer with the introduction of Burger King’s Wisconsin White Cheddar Whopper. The burger features fire-grilled beef, naturally smoked thick-cut bacon, Wisconsin white cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles on a sesame seed bun.

The Wisconsin White Cheddar Whopper has 950 calories, 62 grams of fat, 23 grams of saturated fat, 1.5 grams of trans fat, 135 milligrams of cholesterol, 1660 milligrams of sodium, 58 grams of carbohydrates, 13 grams of sugar, and 46 grams of protein.

Holy hell! 62 grams of fat! 23 grams of saturated fat!

It’s a good thing there’s also a Wisconsin White Cheddar Whopper Jr. which has “just” 480 calories, 30 grams of fat, 11 grams of saturated fat, 0.5 grams of trans fat, 810 milligrams of sodium, and 23 grams of protein.

This week, Burger King introduced two limited time only holiday desserts — the Gingerbread Cookie Sundae and Gingerbread Cookie Shake.

The Gingerbread Cookie Sundae features vanilla soft serve, topped with a gingerbread sauce and crumbled gingersnap cookies. It has a suggested retail price of $2.49. The hand-blended Gingerbread Cookie Shake is made up of vanilla soft serve and gingerbread syrup blended together with whipped topping and crumbled gingersnap cookies on top. It has a suggested retail price of $1.99.

Personally, I would’ve liked to have seen the Gingerbread Cookie Sundae feature a gingerbread man cookie dunked into the soft serve feet first to make him look like he’s lounging in the sundae.

That’s would’ve been extremely adorable.

When KFC introduced their KFC Bites, I thought to myself, “Don’t they already have popcorn chicken?” They did.

And now after learning about their new KFC Dip’ems chicken tenders, I’m thinking to myself, “Don’t they already have dippable chicken strips?” They do.

I guess it’s hard to come up with different products when you can use only chicken.

The new chicken product is made using 100 percent premium all-white meat chicken, marinated and double-breaded in special seasonings. They’re available in a bucket of 20 tenders, which includes all six sauces, or in a combo with three tenders, a choice of two sauces, a side item, a biscuit and a medium drink. Along with the Dip’ems, KFC also introduced three new dipping sauces — Creamy Buffalo, Orange Ginger and Bacon Ranch.
