About this time last year, 7-Eleven introduced the first Sour Patch Slurpee — Watermelon. This year, Slurpee’s 50th birthday, the convenience store is rolling out a new Sour Patch Slurpee flavor. This time it’s the popular Redberry.

The new sour and sweet flavor is available for a limited time at participating 7-Eleven stores nationwide.

Along with the Sour Patch Redberry Slurpee, 7-Eleven is also offering the first ever single-flavor, single color Sour Patch Kids Redberry candy packs. So if you want to top your Sour Patch Redberry Slurpee with Sour Patch Redberry candy, you can.

Over the past few years, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s have been transitioning to all-natural proteins. In 2014, they rolled out an all-natural, grass-fed beef patty with no added hormones, antibiotics, or steroids. Last year, Carl’s Jr. introduced the chain’s All-Natural Charbroiled Turkey Burgers. This year, it’s chicken’s turn.

The new All-Natural Charbroiled Chicken Breast Fillet is minimally processed with no artificial additives or preservatives. It replaces the chicken on both chains’ charbroiled chicken sandwiches, which are the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Charbroiled Chicken Club Sandwich and Charbroiled BBQ Chicken Sandwich (shown above), and the Carl’s Jr. Charbroiled Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich. The new chicken breast fillet will not affect the prices of the sandwiches.

It’s hot outside. Ugh. It’s over 100 degrees in some places. If you want some relief from the heat and want to try something new, Dunkin’ Donuts has you covered with the chain’s new Wildberry Smoothie.

Or you could walk into an air conditioned building you’ve never been in before.

The Wildberry Smoothie combines low-fat yogurt with real strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry. I imagine “wildberry” is a hip way to say “mixed berry.” Also, I imagine there’s a hipper way to say “hip.” The smoothie is available all day for a limited time at participating Dunkin’ Donuts locations.

Last month, Ben & Jerry’s introduced their first Flavor Flip, Fully Baked, a twisted version of the popular Half Baked Ice Cream. This month, the ice cream maker introduced a new Flavor Flip based on Chubby Hubby — Tubby Hubby.

For those of you who haven’t had Chubby Hubby in awhile, it’s made up of vanilla malt ice cream with peanutty fudge-covered pretzels and fudge and peanut buttery swirls. Tubby Hubby features peanut butter ice cream with sweet and salty pretzel swirls and fudge swirls.

A scoop has 260 calories, 17 grams of fat, 7 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 55 milligrams of cholesterol, 200 milligrams of sodium, 24 grams of carbohydrates, less than 1 gram of fiber, 18 grams of sugar, and 4 grams of protein.

Carvel’s latest flavor combines their soft ice cream made with Ghirardelli chocolate and the chain will be offering several sweet treats that showcase the flavor.

Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Made with Ghirardelli – Carvel’s chocolate ice cream blended with Ghirardelli chocolate sauce.

Sundae Dasher Made with Ghirardelli – Ghirardelli Soft Ice Cream, layered with chocolate crunchies and Ghirardelli chocolate sauce, and topped with whipped cream and Ghirardelli chocolate sauce drizzle.

Shake Made with Ghirardelli – A shake that combines soft ice cream and Ghirardelli chocolate sauce.

Flying Saucer Made with Ghirardelli – Soft Ice Cream Made with Ghirardelli wedged between two chocolate crackers.

Carvel’s Ghirardelli Soft Ice Cream will be available at participating locations until July 31.
