Another product I didn’t know had disappeared, but it’s back. (Spotted by Robbie at Walmart.)
If you’re out shopping and see new products, snap a picture of them, and send them in via an email ([email protected]) with where you found them and “Spotted” in the subject line. Also, if you want to send in photos and are wondering if we’ve already covered something or if they’re new, don’t worry about it. Let us worry about it.
Funny story. When Hostess came back from going out of business, they didn’t reintroduce all of their products immediately. I think Twinkies and Chocolate Cupcakes were the first back. They eventually brought SuzyQ’s back, but they were drastically different and not good. I wrote to Hostess and complained. A few months later, I think, I saw a SuzyQ box that said, “New Recipe” and they were back to the way they were before Hostess went out of business. Then they just disappeared after a while. I’m hoping these are the correct recipe! Love SuzyQ’s!
The filling is spot on to the old school cream filling, 100%. The cake part is still disappointing, not moist like the original, unfortunately.
I’d try them.
And they shrinkflated them. You used to get 6. Now there’s only 5. And the ORIGINAL Suzy Q’s (sold until the 2012 bankruptcy) came in an 8 pack. Paying more for less. Oh joy of joys.
