I just saw a cotton candy cake on Goldbelly for about $60 (why??? It’s just sugar!) so that Kroger one is a real bargain!
Comparing those two specific instances is akin to a cookie made in a factory and a cookie made in an artisan bakery.
The one pictured above available at Kroger is mass produced in a factory and available at multiple retailers. Believe the brand is Albert’s Candy. The retail price is between $3 to $7 or so.
The one you’ve mentioned available via Goldbelly is very likely from Floof, a small artisan candy maker. The retail price is $49 plus shipping.
I’m sure Goldbelly isn’t going to sell desserts you can find at the grocery store. Now could I afford to buy anything on there? Probably not.
