    So do they just taste like garlic? Because I certainly don’t want potato chips that taste like bread. [shudder]

      They taste like cheese and garlic. They’re very good, IMHO, and they don’t taste like bread at all.

    Apart from the fact that these are a “limited time flavor” (why?!), I could see this flavor joining sour cream-onion as a regular for me. This flavor (by the description–I haven’t seen them in my local stores yet) just seems so right.

      It is so right! These are delicious, trust me! I always buy it whenever they’re re-released after I tried them the first time, so that should tell you something!

        Thanks for the recommendation–I’m keeping my eyes open for them. Among other reasons, these sound like a nice, lazy-guy’s alternative to garlic bread, in the pantry and ready for snacking. 🙂

          No problem at all. The more people that buy them, the more likely it is that they will be re-released again, or better yet, become a permanent addition to the Lay’s line. I still prefer garlic bread by a wide margin, because I LOVE garlic bread, but these really are great.

            I love your enthusiasm! I’m hoping that my local Kroger carries them (they seem to get a lot of these limited release items.) If not, I’ll scope out Meijer and Wal-Mart when I visit my parents next week! Need these in my salty snack line-up!
