Jack in the Box is currently testing another variation of their premium burger — the Cheddar & Crispy Onion Buttery Jack. Impulsive Buy reader Michael took the photo above at a Jack in the Box location in Sacramento, CA.
Along with the garlic herb butter-topped 1/4 lb signature beef patty and gourmet signature bun, the burger appears to also have crispy onions, grilled onions, two slices of cheddar, and a sauce that looks like the creamy tomato on the Classic Buttery Jack.

We had them a week or so ago, couldn’t really tell there were crispy onions on there, coating sogged up & fell off pretty fast leaving a overabundance of grilled, and “sog grilled” onions. The cheddar wasn’t melted, it was just “sweaty” which I find really gross. I found it to be mediocre, not nearly as good as that black pepper burger, those were pretty tasty.
